HOW DO WE USE YOUR DONATIONS?

We are always deeply grateful for donations. All donations are tax deductible.

We consider our work to be about building social profit through helping people in our community resolve their disagreements peacefully. Our donors are valued co-investors in the work of creating harmonious communities and families. Whether you make a donation in US dollars or an in-kind donation of goods or services, RECOURSE will maximize your investment and publish the outcomes of our work on our website.

We are committed to financial transparency and encourage our donors to visit guidestar.org for more information.

Help us to build Social Profit in Sonoma County

We want our co-investors to have and feel a real connection to our work in ways that are meaningful to them.

  • Investing in our Restorative Justice work directly benefits victims of juvenile crime so that their voices can be truly heard and have a say in making things right. Donations to this Program also allows the juvenile offender to learn from past mistakes and help ‘restore’ to the victim what was harmed. You will receive letters of thanks from the young person so that you can know, in a very direct way, that you are part of restoring health to our community.
  • When you donate to our community mediation work you will be supporting those members of our community who do not have the resources to pay for mediation. You will be investing in families going through divorce, so that the children of our community can witness their parents communicating in healthy ways. You will be investing in our work with seniors, with people facing eviction who need to keep their subsidized housing vouchers, and with others who are marginalized in our community.
  • When you donate to our work in Conflict Resolution Training you are directly helping more members of our community to be skilled mediators and community resources for resolving conflict. A scholarship in your name, or the name of your business, will support conflict resolution training for low income new mediators and meeting facilitators.
  • When  you donate to our Meeting Facilitation services, you will be investing in greater productivity in our local small businesses, local government agencies, faith based organizations, schools, non-profit organizations, subsidized housing providers and other groups who cannot afford to pay the full fee for our services.
  • When  you donate to support our work in general, through a gift of money, goods or services, we will tell you how we will use that donation when we send you your tax deductible receipt.
